Self-love and self-esteem are key to satisfaction in life which yields wholeness, bliss and happiness regardless of the many challenges of life.

Individuals with positive self-esteem and self-love have higher chances of being happy in life. They tend to be self-motivated and self-driven. As such, they perform better academically or professionally and in other areas of life. They even make better partners.

Self-esteem is the value you place on yourself while self-love is the appreciation for yourself that grows from actions that support your physical, spiritual and psychological growth. People with positive self-esteem tend to cope with adverse outcomes of life better because of their positive approach towards life. They also have lower chances of developing mental health illnesses such as anxiety disorder, personality disorders, depression, etc.

Most people struggle with peer pressure and the value of belonging. However, individuals with positive self-esteem are not afraid to be themselves. And because of this, they don’t place their value on how many friends, followers are social likes they get. They know their worth and don’t need a crowd to make them feel worthy. This eliminates the aspect of neediness and people-pleasing tendencies.
